You specialize in being a bulwark for your team and holding the line against enemies. When you select this discipline at level 1, you gain the Guard feature. In addition, while you are wearing armor or wielding a shield, you gain a +1 bonus to AC.

When you are adjacent to an ally and that ally is hit with an attack, you can step in front of the attack, hitting you instead. The attackers roll is now compared to your AC instead of the original targets. If the attack now misses, you gain an opening. If the attack hits you, you reduce its damage by 1d10 + half your level (minimum of 1).
