Target: 1 creature

Range: touch

Action Cost: 10 minutes
-
Duration: Instantaneous
Fundamental: When you defeat a creature you can harvest a piece of it as a trophy. Choose a creature that has a CR equal to your level or lower and that has been reduced to 0 Hit Points within the last minute. Make a Crafting check, adding your Charisma to the roll vs the DC of the monster.
- Trained: The GM choose a feature or ability of the monster. You gain the monsters ability or feature as a magic item representing its physiology. If the feature or ability is passive, you can activate its passive effects for 1 minute as a 2 action feat, applying them to whoever is wielding the item. If the feature is an active effect, the item gains its properties such as duration and action cost. You can use these features once per Long Rest and the item is rendered inert after 1 week.
- Expert: You choose the feature or ability rather than the GM. The item can be used twice per Long Rest and lasts for 1 month before becoming inert. The creature’s CR can be up to 2 higher than your level. On a critical success on your Crafting check, you may harvest two features from the same creature, combining them into a single item.
- Master: As Expert. The item never becomes inert as long as you maintain it during your daily preparations. Additionally once per Long Rest when you use the item’s active or passive feature, you may apply it to an ally within 30 feet instead of yourself as a free action. On a critical success you may harvest up to three features and distribute them across separate items or combine them.
Might be better as a ranger feature instead of vagabond. Rework
