Fundamental:
You have extensive knowledge on the weaknesses and characteristics of monsters. You gain A Bestiary of Creatures Unusual as an area of expertise for your Bardic Lore rolls. If you already have this area of expertise, select another from the Bardic Lore list instead. When you roll Bardic Lore and select A Bestiary of Creatures Unusual as your area of expertise, you gain additional effects on a success or critical success determined by your training.
- Trained:
- Success: in addition to learning a well known feature of the monster, you also learn one of the following of your choice: its main damage type, its movement speed, or whether it has any resistances or immunities.
- Critical Success, you may ask two questions instead of one.
- Expert: As Trained.
- Success: you learn two of the listed features instead of one. Additionally you can share this knowledge as a free action. When you do so, choose one ally within 30 feet that can hear you. That ally gains Favored on their first attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
- Master: As Expert.
- Critical Success, you may ask three questions instead of two. Additionally all allies within 30 feet that can hear you gain Favored on their first attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn, and the creature is considered Off-Guard against the first attack made by any ally who benefited from this knowledge.
